Get Involved

Volunteering is at the heart of what makes the Friends of Capron Park Zoo tick. Without the donated time and talents of our Board, event crews and administrative support, none of what we do in support of the Zoo is possible.

FCPZ Volunteer Corps

The FCPZ Volunteer Corps offers various hands-on volunteering opportunities that directly benefit the Zoo throughout the year. The VC is also a great way to learn more about the mission of the FCPZ Board and a necessary step to becoming a member of the Board of Directors, if that level of commitment interests you.

FCPZ Board of Directors

Serving on the FCPZ Board of Directors is great way to share your individual talents working together with other, like-minded people dedicated to advancing the mission of the Capron Park Zoo primarily through fundraising and community engagement. In addition to working on events, Board members are frequent participants in the Zoo’s public outreach events such as Zoo Boo and Zoo Moon. With its family-focus and longstanding outreach to Attleboro and the surrounding communities, we are a group that believes the Zoo is truly a cause worth supporting. Members of the Board of Directors are expected to make at least a one-year commitment of service, though most serve for several years.

We aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the Zoo’s animal collection and help to secure Capron Park Zoo for generations to come. We can do it and more with YOUR help! Please consider volunteering with us. All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, and prospective Board members must complete an application form and participate in an interview process.
